Ivoclar Vivadent AG is an internationally active company that manufactures and markets dedicated products and systems for dentists and dental technicians. Globally, the organisation has a workforce of some 3’500 employees spread across no less than 25 different countries. Ivoclar Vivadent AG operates its own research and development centre with over 180 staff members. These include around 50 employees conducting quality control procedures for the R&D and production departments.

  • Analysis of three laboratory units with the emphasis on value creation and waste
  • Value stream analyses of the key products were generated, activity sampling conducted and the movement data of the samples analysed
  • Moreover, costs of manual data entries were determined, plus a typical data analysis of historical measurements in terms of their customer benefits was carried out
